Covid-19 Health and Safety Measures
The health and safety of our staff and customers is our priority.
As rules and protocols change, so will we. Please check back for any updates.
Updated December 24
Current Measures Until Further Notice
Effective Monday, December 28th we will be moving to a phone-in, curbside pick-up and delivery option with adjusted hours.
On Monday, December 21st , Premier Ford announced that we will be entering a province wide lockdown, all non-essential business being ordered to shut down effective Saturday, December 26th.
Under the new orders, Simcoe Block falls under the following category of essential services:
General Retail (all other retail, including hardware stores, pet food, computer stores, etc.):
Curbside pick-up or delivery only (in-person retail shopping not permitted).
Sales must be exclusively made so patrons are not required to enter the indoor area of the business, including curbside pick-up or delivery.
It appears that most of our customers (contractors, builders, etc.) also fall under the classification of essential workplaces. Therefore, Simcoe Block will continue to remain open during these very uncertain times. It is important to note that the Federal and Provincial Governments are continuously updating and changing their policies and that our ability to operate our businesses could change at any time.
We will be adjusting our hours due to staffing requirements to 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday effective December 28. Note that Simcoe Building Centre in Barrie will also be open Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
We hope that by reducing the opportunities to come in close contact with each other, we can do our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
